Warm Weather

It may be cold here--like 16 degree but my dear hubby is on his way to Nicaragua where it is 90 degrees.  He sure is looking forward to that.  He along with 4 others plus a man from New Castle are going to meet up with earthmechanic at Houston and fly down to an orphangage where they will be working for the next week.  Kirk and Mary Ann and several guys from Michigan will meet them down there too.  He took a suitcase full of school supplies etc down for the children there.  It sure was fun shopping for that.  So if you think of me the next week, say a prayer that things will go smoothly for them down there and also for me here at home.......

WORDS TO PONDER ON:

THE OTHER DAY MY SWEET GRANDDAUGHTER SENT ME A PICTURE SHE HAD DRAWN ON A GREEN PIECE OF PAPER AND ON THE BACK WERE THESE WORDS...

YOU'RE BLESSED WHEN YOU'RE CONTENT WITH JUST WHO YOU ARE--NO MORE, NO LESS. THAT'S THE MOMENT YOU FIND YOURSELVES PROUD OWNERS OF EVERYTHING THAT CAN'T BE BOUGHT.

...JESUS, FROM MATTHEW 5,  THE MESSAGE

Birthdays

Birthdays can be lots of fun even when you are getting old like I am.   But then, you are only as old as you feel, right??   I feel young (most of the time) except in my bones.  I had lots of e-mails, cards, presents, phone calls and hubby came home from work at 2:30 and said the rest of the day was mine.  We went down to Georgetown to pick up a permit for him and then went down to Rehoboth.  We caught the 4:05 show of  "The Secret Life of Bees".   It was really good and we enjoyed it immensely.   I'd recommend it,  but would advise you to take a  hankie along.  After eating out and doing some shopping, it was good to come home again.

We had spent the weekend with the kids down at "Great Wolf Adventure" in Williamsburg.  Katie thoroughly enjoyed the indoor water park and went on all the water slides that there were.  Much to her dismay, she was too short for the tornado.  (I was a scardy cat and didn't even go on any, they were much to high for my liking. What did I say about feeling young?)   Matt and Jeff played a challenging game of golf on a course like they had never been on before.  We left Pa-Pa with the girls while they took a nap and went shopping at Yankee Candle.   The weekend was over much too soon.

Wormb is coming to spend the night so maybe we can work on some of those computer questions that I had and never took the time to figure out.

I need to get my kitchen cleaned up yet.....

Snow

Yea, it is snowing!!  But at this rate it will take a year to get enough snow to make a snowman. Are you doughnut makers busy yet?  I've got the tea.

Experimenting

I am able to get messages on my xanga site but I have not been able to get pictures to come up. I get the message and then it will say "image here" and then more message and "image here". I also would like to get my subscriptions to come up right under my profile picture (which I haven't been able to do either). There is a long blank space and then all the other stuff. I have come to the conclusion that working on these things is as good for the mind as doing all those "Brain Games" to try to keep from getting Alzheimers. I'll keep plugging away............
